Description
A traditional green woodworking tool, the drawknife is used for the removal of bark or for more fine finishing also. Used by bodgers, chair makers, furniture makers etc. This Ray Iles version has been designed by Mike Abbott to help adapt this traditional tool slightly. The difference being that the splayed handles are also bent slightly downwards so that you are working with your hands at approximately the same angle as your work piece, whichever way you are using the drawknife – back down or cannel down.
This is made from 01 high carbon tool steel and has turned beech handles with brass ferrules. Blade length: 8″.
